This months book is a more knowledge based book that is for those who want to trade like the best in the business. The previous two book recommendations have been more novel like with their story telling where as this months book is packeting full of practical trading knowledge and examples from those who have done it.

Last months book was When Genius Failed by Roger Lowenstein and you can check out the recommendation and blog post by clicking on the link below.

This months book is the fantastic and world famous Market Wizards: Interviews with Top Trades by Jack D Schwager. If you have not heard about this book then you are not part of the right circles because it is certainly a must read!

Market Wizards by Jack D Schwager is a collection of interviews with some of the worlds most successful traders. Jack tries to find out how and why they are successful and what makes a successful trader. Unsurprisingly, they all have the same answer to why they are successful at trading.

I particularly like this book because of the wide variety of traders that are interviewed. The list includes: Paul Tudor Jones, the famous hedge fund manager and star of a documentary that became legendary amongst those wanting to learn how to trade. The book also includes a trader who turned thousands of dollars in to billions in a single trading day.

This book is not simply a chance for them to show off their stories but it is instead used to dig deeper in to what they think makes them successful and it all comes down to one thing… the individual traders mentality and a good methodical process.

I highly recommend this book to everyone I meet who expresses and interest in learning to trade for 2 reasons; 1) It shows you that it is possible to become a successful trader and 2) It’s not easy.
